If you don't have the complete version of Access 2007, but need to work with databases, you can now do so, thanks to Access 2007: Access Runtime.
It is an adaptation of the Microsoft Office Access 2007 database, in which all the options of the complete version are included, but without needing to install the complete Microsoft Office pack. The Access 2007: Access Runtime interface is similar to the Microsoft Office one, so you can move about it easily, but with the ease of installing just the application you need.
